BrachyLIFE Tilling platform established

The University of Copenhagen has established a TILLING platform for Brachypodium distachyon Bd21-3 containing 3800 mutant lines. The seeds were treated with sodium azide. M3 seeds have been harvested from 2300 lines. DNA has been isolated from 1900 lines ready for TILLING and leaf material harvested for additional 1100 seedlings for DNA isolations are stored in the freezer. There is also a small number (300 lines) of fast neutron mutants.
